General terms governing quotations, freight forwarding coordination, and transportation bookings.
1. Scope of Quotations
All freight quotations provided via this website, email, or telephone are based on prevailing carrier tariffs, bunker adjustment factors (BAF), currency exchange rates, and terminal handling charges at the time of quotation. Tariffs are subject to vessel space availability, carrier surcharges, and actual commodity weights and dimensions upon official terminal weigh-in.
2. Shipper’s Documentation Responsibility
The shipper or consignee is solely responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness, and legitimacy of all commercial invoices, packing lists, export-import licences, and declarations provided for customs brokerage and international shipping.
3. Carriage & Regulatory Protocols
Carriage by sea, air, and land is conducted in accordance with international conventions (including Hague-Visby Rules, Montreal Convention, and Indian Carriage of Goods Act) and the terms specified on individual carrier Bills of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybills (AWB).
4. Limitation of Liability & Marine Insurance
Jeevit International acts as a freight forwarder and logistics coordinator. Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive marine cargo transit insurance to safeguard against unforeseen maritime hazards, weather disruption, general average, or theft.
5. Jurisdiction
All matters, transactions, and disputes relating to services coordinated through Jeevit International shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
